Dinner and a Movie: OUT OF AFRICA
Winner of 7 Oscars, this beautifully composed love story stars Meryl Streep and Robert Redford. Based on Isak Dinesen's novels, it takes place on a Kenyan coffee farm. OUT OF AFRICA is an eloquent, splendidly photographed memoir of Dinesen's love affair with an elusive, free spirited pioneer.
The Asbury Park Film Initiative's second annual Dinner and a Movie series features an expanded lineup of restaurants and more venues to catch classic, indie and documentary films. Just go to a participating restaurant starting at 6:30 pm for a special prix fixe dinner. You will be given a ticket along with your check to catch a great 8 pm film at the Paramount, the Showroom or the Watermark. If you only want to go to the movie, tickets are $5 at the door.
